“You don’t pay the certificate; you pay the knowledge and progression”

At Apnea Culture, you are not just a course participant; you are a part of us and we’ll grow together. We’ll coach and train you to be

Step by Step

Intro: What to expect?

We proudly offer you courses following AIDA International standard and syllabus with additions of supplementary materials from research papers, books, videos, and other reliable sources. We do our best to update our materials with any latest development in relation to freediving world.

“We believe in a small repetitive incremental progression”

Freediving is a skill that needs to be developed little by little. Let your body adapt to breath-hold activities as you get more comfortable and confident both physically and mentally.

Knowledge: Understand yourself better through freediving!

How do you breathe? The simplest question not many people know how to answer or answer wrongly.

At this session, you will receive basic knowledge about freediving that will be applicable for recreational dive. We will do active discussion so that the theory is not only understood but also embedded in you that it becomes good freediving habit.

Objectives : Comprehend the science and theoretical aspects of freediving.

Skills: Basic Technique Review

After deep discussion in freediving theory, it’s time to face the water. Our trained instructor will review each participant’s basic skill in swimming and fining so they can understand the right body movement to increase streamlining and efficient energy for freediving.

Objectives : right body movement through swimming and fining skill.

Pool/Confined Water: Regular training helps you progress, pool is the place to do it.

This part will help each participant to get practical example and experience for pool discipline. They will try to demonstrate technical ability from what they learn from theory session. Also at this session, they will learn directly how to be a safe buddy and safety pool procedure. Deep relaxation and listening body signal is the main objection from this session.

Objectives : technical skill through pool discipline and safety pool procedure.

Open Water: Get excited! This is why most of you want to freedive!

This part will help each participant to get full experience from deep discipline. They will try their equalization experience through deep training session. Since safety is our main concern, they will learn about safety procedure for open water activity too. If they have deep water panicking, it’s time to encounter it and having fun with the ocean.

Objectives : technical skill through equalization, deep training ability and safety open water procedure.

Review & Repetition: “Practice make permanent” – Steve Millard

As my coach always said, “Practice make permanent.” What you did on your training, will stick on you as you freedive on your trip, compete, and have fun. We will help each participant to develop your skills according to your pace. It needs commitment from both party though, so be punctual and commited!

We will work out ways to make the training new fresh and not boring. At the same time, you will have your training journal so you can record your training session, rate it, and use it for further reference. We hold regular activities so our student can expand their knowledge and practice regularly.

Objectives : Practice, practice, practice! Don’t forget the fun part!
